When I recently traveled to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 I instantly fell in love with the architecture that puerto had to offer during my visit. These photo were taken and edited with my iPhone 12 Max pro.
In the church façade, see how the exposure is good on the white front and how dramatically dark the sky gets? That is a good example of how the sky can work in a B and W photo. The towner beneath is though is having a harder time as the light is less and darker on the tower and the white cloud over exposed. When you squint at your subject does it come forward with light or does it recede into darkness? We try to shoot for the former.
