The top four pictures at the Vatican are doing exactly what I was trying to achieve with this assignment… To get you to think abstractly and geometrically and to fill the frame.
It's a little more difficult with the overall city scenes of New York City… Especially where sky is involved. Of this series, the bottom one is the strongest because of the strong diagonal line of light on the Avenue and because of the way the frame is filled with no sky.
