I'm finding you're a bit too aggressive with the contrast on most of these. In other words the dark areas have gone to dark and some of the light areas are clipped off into white. The art of editing is more subtle. The main idea is to highlight and emphasize the focal point and quiet everything else that doesn't contribute to that focal point.
My favorite shot of the soul series is the second one from the bottom… the color is lovely and it's not overly edited
