Yes, it is possible to do the class entirely on your phone. You phone cam has editing software built in and you can make many of the edits right on your phone that we would do in Photoshop. Go to YouTube and search for "edit photos on ....(fill in the model). Here is a series on the iPhone XR.
Why edit????
It all comes down to directing the viewer's eye to the focal point of the picture and to realize your intention of the image more fully. Try to have your focal point also be the source of light. Areas that are just as light will draw the viewer's eye away from the focal point. Watch some of my editing videos linked from the blog to get a sense of what I mean... you can do that on your phone as well...
Another tip, not all photos need editing... We are editing for quality not special effects... do watch a few of my videos... it is very important.
